Avoiding Manufacturing Problems

After I graduated from college, I started working in my parent's factory. They put me in a management position, and I realized that with that responsibility came a great burden to make the company better. I started realizing that manufacturing problems were eating away at our profits, so I did what I could to make things right. Little by little, I was able to completely revamp the entire process, and before we knew it, the factory was productive and wonderful again. This blog is all about avoiding manufacturing problems so that you can enjoy a great bottom line financially and continued success.

The Best Ingredients To Use When Manufacturing Natural Lotions

If you have decided to start a small business making natural lotions, then it is important that you know which ingredients are the best to use. Whether you will be mixing your lotions at home yourself or outsourcing the job to a natural lotion manufacturer, it is vital to your business's success that you use only the best ingredients. To this end, here is a list of the absolute best natural lotion ingredients that you can choose from:

Raw Honey

Raw honey has been used for centuries as a natural antibiotic. In many cultures, raw honey is used to dress burns and open wounds to prevent infections. When used in a natural lotion, honey provides many unique enzymes and acids that help to promote healthy skin. As an added bonus, raw honey can be tolerated by people with even the most sensitive skin. This makes it an ideal lotion ingredient.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil works very well as the main ingredient in natural lotions. It is a good source of moisture for the user's skin and it has antioxidant and antibacterial properties. Coconut oil mixes well with other ingredients and smells lovely. It is always best to use an organic, food-grade coconut oil when making lotions or soaps. Organic, food-grade coconut oil is the purest form of coconut oil that you can purchase.

Shea Butter

Shea butter is a natural skin care product that has been used in African countries for many centuries. Shea butter comes from the nut of the shea tree and is an edible substance sometimes used for cooking. Shea butter is a high-quality moisturizing ingredient and even helps to reduce redness and flaking of the user's skin.

Almond Oil

Almond oil is cold pressed from almond nuts and has a wonderful scent. It mixes well with other natural lotion ingredients and will not overpower other scents. In addition, almond oil has some anti-inflammatory properties that help your lotion reduce puffiness on the user's face.

Tea Tree Oil

Finally, tea tree oil is an ingredient that you can add to your natural lotions that will help to prevent the formation of acne.

Tea tree oil is well known for its medicinal properties, including its ability to function as an:

  • anti-inflammatory agent
  • anti-fungal agent
  • anti-microbial agent
  • anti-bacterial agent

Since the tea tree oil works in all of these ways, it helps to prevent acne and treats acne that has already formed.
